Approved Blaster Retraining Classes

Blasters renewing their licenses will need to show proof that they have attended the required blaster training sometime during the previous 36 months.

While this division will do its best to keep records of class attendance between renewal periods, the law clearly states that the burden of proof for such training is the blaster’s responsibility. Therefore, it is important that a blaster keep copies of all his retraining documents, such as certificates of attendance or training completion forms. Copies of these forms may be submitted when renewing.

NEW Blasters will no longer receive retraining credit for attending the 30-hour class.  This class is reserved for those blasters desiring the entire 30-hour session. The division will teach courses specifically geared toward retraining for credit hours needed to obtain renewal.

If you have any question about whether a seminar or conference would be acceptable as blaster retraining hours, please contact the division prior to attending the training.

OMSL training classes are held at various times and locations throughout Kentucky. This site will be continuously updated to provide the most up-to-date schedule.  If you have any questions regarding blaster's retraining credits, please contact Jeff Taylor at 502-573-0140.

Training Class Sign-up Policy
